Hi there! Welcome to my little food and culture hub. I’m Jinq, a southern gal with a life that’s been one big adventure up and down China.

I grew up in central China, where northern and southern cultures mix. That’s where my love for food and curiosity about different traditions began. Later, I headed north for school and soaked up the boldness of northern life and flavors. Then, work took me south, where I spent years exploring the incredible food scene. From the crispy pork slices (guobaorou) in Harbin to dim sum during morning tea in Guangzhou, every bite has been a delicious story.

Now, I’m lucky to call Xi’an home. It’s a city bursting with history, famous for the Terracotta Army and its rich food culture. Walking along the ancient city walls, I feel connected to the past. Every local dish I try here feels like a little piece of history brought to life. This mix of history and flavor inspires me to share my passion with you.

I’m all about food and the stories behind it. Every dish has its own soul, and I love discovering what makes it special. Through this blog, I’ll take you on a journey across China, sharing cooking tips, showcasing unique local eats, and diving into the stories that make them unforgettable.

So, come along with me! Let’s explore the amazing world of food and culture together. After all, food isn’t just about taste—it’s about comfort, connection, and tradition.

Thanks for stopping by and being part of this adventure. I can’t wait to share more tasty moments with you here in my little corner of the internet!
